Who knew that there would be a place where people could share their thoughts, ideas, and even dreams? For the past six years - maybe a bit longer - I’ve been frustrated, angry, and depressed by living in this “new age”. It started for me when the “Silent Majority” began to make its steps onto the political front. I was a Christian who decided not to let anyone know I was a Christian because of how this “silent majority” began to use born-again Christian as a badge of honor. For me, being a Christian was a badge of service.
Using other platforms, including Facebook and my local news paper, I have written short essays and letters to the editor saying what I thought, what I believed, and why I didn’t like what was happening in Oklahoma and the country. So far, every letter to the editor I’ve written has been published. I decided looking into what was going on in Oklahoma and surrounding areas and writing about them would help me clear my mind and focus on what I thought not just what I felt. I accidently signed up for a substack newsletter. So, here I am.
During a Zoom meeting about the Democrat campaigns, I saw hundreds of people from all over the country signing in. It was the first time I’ve ever been with that many Democrats. I realized I was not alone and that a place existed - even with Zoom - where I could meet and virtually hang out with like minded people.
The purpose of this substack is to find more like minded people. I plan to write about what I read in the paper or hear on cable news. If you agree, let me know. If you don’t agree, let me know that. Talking to the wind is never productive.
For now, this is a free subscription.
